Greetings from Mrs. Ingram!!!
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to a new school year!!! It is with much excitement and enthusiasm that I am dedicating myself to making this a productive and rewarding school year. As your child embarks upon the new school year, he/she must prepare for a more rigorous academic challenge, and the demands of the current grade. Your child’s ability to adapt and succeed depends largely on developing the basic study skills that enables more efficient learning.
I am committed to offering a quality education by providing a nurturing learning environment and using the best resources available to ensure a successful academic year. I strive to provide an inviting atmosphere that will support and facilitate optimal growth for your child.
It is my belief that students should be respected for their unique gifts and talents. Students must view learning as a limitless process. “All children can develop their capabilities throughout life if they apply effective efforts to the learning process.”
Your child’s educational success is largely dependent upon the support of his/her home environment. Parents and the community must share the responsibility of the learning process. The power of this responsibility will bring out necessary changes if everyone involved establishes high expectations for success and achievement. Therefore, please accept my personal invitation to become actively involved in the educational success of your child. If you are able, visit your child during the instructional day. Ask your child (daily) what he/she has learned in school, and review homework to ensure that it is accurate and neatly done.
Successful learning requires an environment in which effort is recognized and developed as a key to building character, confidence, and the capability to excel. Within this online resource there are a number of items that outline the expectations for your child’s Math class along with information to help set the foundation for a productive year. If the students adhere to these guidelines and utilize these tools they are guaranteed to have a successful year in math.
Once again, I welcome you and your child to my Math class. I would like to thank the students and parents in advance for their support and cooperation in making this a successful year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. S. S. Ingram
